i figure this would get more views possibly in here rather than garage sale, maybe not but i'll never know if I don't try right?

I have started a side project, building OEM and customizing computers for people, basically because people should get to pick what they want, and not be forced to pay for extra software or hardware they don't want/look at/care about, and these are not what some namebrand places do, that is they arent just a machine we have in our prebuilt selections that you can upgrade. These truely are pick everything from the start, of course for those who arent total geeks an d for one reason or another aren't picky as to the parts but otherwise have an idea of what they want, our OEM section covers that..

another reason to do this is, why fight with some outsourced company who has no clue, to put it nicely
note that i do charge a labor charge of $30 per hour, which an average windows install would take typically 2 hours for xp and less for windows 9X but other than that i just charge for parts obviously so, i won't get rich off this but hey, wouldn't most of us have what we want, no more and no less?

I am sorry to say, i have not gotten into laptops which i should have mentioned in the first post, sorry about that but in this case, i think namebrand laptops might be less money, however i don't know but I see one of the reasons a laptop is so costly is the basic box, just board and case and built in drive and screen, are not cheap
sorry again about this, i'd love to get into laptops myself

Uh, no you wouldn't. The barebooks, to put it lightly, are shit. By namebrand, better quality all around.
